<u>El Pedrosal Crianza 2018<\/u><\/strong> &#8211;<strong><u> Cepa Gavil\u00e1n Crianza 2018<\/u><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Crianza 2018 El Pedrosal, also sold as<a href=\"https:\/\/perezpascuas.com\/en\/cepa-gavilan-en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> Cepa Gavil\u00e1n<\/a>, is the youngest and more modern offering from the winery.&nbsp; In 2018, it shows very integrated oak and a juicy personality, ripe and balanced, with a soft texture and mellow flavors, very recognizable as Ribera del Duero with a chalky finish.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>92 points &#8211; <u>Vi\u00f1a Pedrosa Crianza 2018<\/u><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMore classical and with more spicy oak, the 2018 <a href=\"https:\/\/perezpascuas.com\/en\/vina-pedrosa-crianza-en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Vi\u00f1a Pedrosa Crianza<\/a> is rich and has a recognizable nose of ripe berries and spices.&nbsp; It\u2019s medium-bodied and has abundant, fine-grained tannins and a velvety mouthfeel.&nbsp; It spent 18 months in barrel, more than the required time to be Crianza.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>93 points &#8211; <u>Vi\u00f1a Pedrosa Reserva 2017<\/u><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201c<\/strong>The 2017<a href=\"https:\/\/perezpascuas.com\/en\/vina-pedrosa-reserva-en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> Vi\u00f1a Pedrosa Reserva<\/a> feels quite harmonious and fresh for a challenging and warm vintage like 2017.&nbsp; It represents their classical house style with ripe Tempranillo fruit, integrated oak and a polished and sleek palate where all of the components feel very much in sync.&nbsp; It\u2019s medium to full-bodied with very fine tannins.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>94 points &#8211; <u>Vi\u00f1a Pedrosa Gran Reserva 2015<\/u><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201c<\/strong>The 2015 <a href=\"https:\/\/perezpascuas.com\/en\/vina-pedrosa-gran-reserva-en\/\">Vi\u00f1a Pedrosa Gran Reserva<\/a> seems to be one of the most consistent wines here, aided by the fruit of their old vines and a long \u00e9levage in barrel.&nbsp; It\u2019s serious, structured, spicy and polished, with chalky texture of the limestone-rich soils quite noticeable in the finish.&nbsp; It\u2019s elegant and powerful.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>95 points &#8211; <u>Vi\u00f1a Pedrosa Gran Reserva 2012<\/u> \u2013 40 Aniversario<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere is an exceptional 2012 <a href=\"https:\/\/perezpascuas.com\/en\/dreams-hunter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Vi\u00f1a Pedrosa Gran Reserva 2012 \u2013 40 Aniversario<\/a> dressed with a painting from artist Crist\u00f3bal Gabarr\u00f3n to celebrate the 40<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of the winery.&nbsp; The 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) grapes were selected from head-pruned vines that are at least 60 years old, and it fermented with their own strain of yeasts and matured in French and American oak barrels for 24 months, it showcases the evolution of their most classical wines that age gracefully into mellow aromas of meat, forest floor, sweet spices and earth.&nbsp; The palate is powerful yet polished, with rich and persistent flavors and a sleek, elegant, dry finish.&nbsp; It should continue aging nicely in bottle in a plateau.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>96 points &#8211; <u>P\u00e9rez Pascuas Gran Selecci\u00f3n, Gran Reserva 2015<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201c<\/strong>I love the super elegant 2015 <a href=\"https:\/\/perezpascuas.com\/en\/perez-pascuas-gran-seleccion-en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">P\u00e9rez Pascuas Gran Selecci\u00f3n Gran Reserva<\/a>, which follows the steps of their best vintages, only produced in exceptional years.&nbsp; It\u2019s produced with Tempranillo grapes from 85-year-old vines on limestone and clay soils, that delivered low yields of 17 hectoliters per hectare.&nbsp; It fermented with a selection of their own yeasts and matured in barrel for 26 months.&nbsp; The oak feels very integrated, and the time in bottle (it was bottled in March 2018) has polished the tannins.&nbsp; It feels very complex and balanced and seems to be evolving at a slow pace.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\"><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">Robert Parker takes into account factors such as the quality of the wine or whether properly reflects its Appellation&#8217;s essence, so it is a highly prestigious and influencer indicator in the wine world<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Six of our wines references were tasted and rated for Robert Parker, by his collaborator Luis Guti\u00e9rrez, taster of &#8220;The Wine Advocate&#8221;
