Our story begins with Mauro Pérez, who left the Pérez Pascuas brothers 17 hectares of vineyard in Pedrosa de Duero, along with values that have guided us ever since: respect for the land, daily hard work, and honesty in everything we do.

While many were uprooting their vines to plant cereal crops, we chose to believe in the potential of this land. We committed to viticulture when few others did, convinced that great wines could be born here. Nearly half a century later, we continue moving forward with confidence, looking to the future without forgetting where we come from.

We founded the winery in 1980, when the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin had yet to be established. We were pioneers in believing in the potential of this region, in defending its identity and quality—even before the wine world turned its gaze towards it. Today, seeing Ribera del Duero’s international prestige fills us with pride. Above all, it reaffirms our core values: respect for the land, commitment to quality work, and loyalty to our roots.

Over these more than four decades, we have grown. But we’ve never lost what matters most: we are a family tied to the vineyard, to our village, and to a way of understanding wine as a philosophy of life.

A Celebration with Soul: Art, Memory, and Wine

The star of this anniversary year is a very special limited edition: Viña Pedrosa Gran Reserva 2019, named after our anniversary motto: “The Legacy of a Lifetime.” More than just a wine, it is a declaration of identity. That’s why we wanted this edition to speak through art as well, with a commemorative piece by sculptor Cristino Díez—a creator deeply connected to our land.

The artwork and the wine engage in a shared dialogue: one of permanence. This tribute also extends to Atapuerca, a symbol of memory, origin, and legacy. We wanted to pay homage to the essence that connects us to what is most authentic, to what endures.

Each bottle, each stone, each brushstroke… tells our story, our way of living wine: with history, with roots, with soul.

A Wish That Guides Us

Our greatest wish for the future is simple, yet profound: to continue making wines that move people. To keep caring for the land, keeping the spirit of Viña Pedrosa alive, and sharing what we feel with each harvest, with every glass raised.

We hope future generations feel the same pride we do when they look back. That wine continues to be a reason to gather, to celebrate, and to live.

Because true legacies are not only inherited. They are shared.
