The people who make sure that every department of Bodega Pérez Pascuas runs smoothly are professionals who are passionate about wine. We currently have a team of some 30 people, with the following Board of Directors.

Manuel Pérez Pascuas

Founding partner and co-owner of Viña Pedrosa

Alongside brother Adolfo Pérez Pascuas, as CEO Manuel was a firm believer in the development of the Ribera del Duero and managed to bring on board others who also believed in the winemaking potential of this hard and generous land.

Always cordial in his conduct and jovial in his manner, Manuel Pérez Pascuas has the virtues of being a quick thinker and an eternally young spirit, albeit one with experience and caution. With millions of friends all over the world, he is highly charismatic, an unarguably good conversationalist and a true master of PR.

First a winegrower and later a winemaker, he knows exactly what graft and sacrifice mean, while always deriving pleasure from his work.

Aware that great achievements come only from great teamwork, he has managed to pass on his passion and drive to all those who share his daily challenges.

His vision always goes one step further, he sees the silver lining to every cloud, and believes that the best is always to come.

Adolfo Pérez Pascuas Viña Pedrosa

Adolfo Pérez Pascuas

Founding partner and co-owner of Viña Pedrosa

Currently joint CEO with brother Manuel Pérez Pascuas, with whom he shares values such as friendship and respect for tradition.
A tireless and extraordinarily kind worker, Adolfo started working in the vineyard and has travelled the world selling his wines. His passion for excellence was kindled through vineyards, finance and wanderlust.

Although his mind is constantly brimming with new ideas, he allows these to ferment and mature before taking action. A natural observer, he can find inspiration in anything.

Adolfo is also a tireless globetrotter and has travelled around all five continents, driven by his dynamic, restless nature and thirst for knowledge. His experiences from around the world have built the character of a country man who loves life.

He enjoys simple pleasures and knows that the reward is worth the risk of trying.

Juan de la Vega Meiland

Managing Director

Juan became Managing Director in 2018. His integrity, open mind, commitment and passion for wine make him ideal to manage Bodegas Hnos. Pérez Pascuas.

He has a long history with the company, having been Sales Manager for 16 years. In that role he extended Viña Pedrosa's distribution network, increased sales targets, and consolidated its position on national and international markets.

Juan was born in Holland and is a polyglot and naturally cosmopolitan. He began reading Law at the University of Amsterdam, continued his studies in Salamanca, and went on to complete a Master's in Winery Management.

His passions are new destinations, meeting up with friends, and good food, and he enjoys every bit of life to the full.

Simple and discreet, tolerant and conciliatory, kind and generous; Juan perfectly embodies the Pérez Pascuas values.

His new challenge is to steer and adapt Viña Pedrosa in this ever-changing market.

Adolfo Pérez Herrero Viña Pedrosa

Adolfo Pérez Herrero

Sales Manager

Passionate about his birthplace, Pedrosa de Duero, Adolfo Pérez Herrero is a humble and generous man.

Highly flexible and cooperative, he is quick to lend a hand whenever needed. Adolfo has worked in every department of Viña Pedrosa. As a boy, he would help out his father and uncles in the vineyard and the winery. Long days spent in the production and ageing cellars at weekends and in the school holidays paved the way to his career. Racking and devatting built his wine-tasting character. His outstanding talent for sensory analysis of wine and extensive education saw him rise to become the official sommelier for Viña Pedrosa.

He has fond memories of Saturdays as a boy doing the rounds in the van with his dad to deliver wine to the top customers. It was then that he found his calling for sales, and as the current head of that department, he liaises closely with the wine tourism department and is also involved in the technical side.

Nature is at the heart of his lifestyle and work. Adolfo enjoys outdoor pursuits and makes every effort to preserve our natural environment.

Mindful of the eminently social dimension of wine and the enormous pleasure of sharing it with others, the value of friendship is always prominent in his work.

Daniel Pérez Herrero

Director of Viticulture and Agronomic Projects

True to his own convictions, Daniel Pérez Herrero possesses three great personal virtues: perseverance, talent and courage.

Auto-didactic by nature, his love for the vineyard runs in his blood. He has known that he wanted to be a winegrower since he was a boy and has devoted his whole life to his passion: winegrowing.

His burning desire to make things better, boundless curiosity and thirst for learning enable him to overcome any challenge, however tough it may seem.

At the helm of the Viña Pedrosa vineyard since 2002, his work has been crucial. Daniel's extensive technical know-how and respect for the land underpin the integration of several agronomic projects aimed at enhancing one of Spain's great vineyards.

Permanent contact with nature has built his observant character and ability to pre-empt changes in the ecosystem. Recovering ancient goblet vines and ancestral varieties are a priority in his day-to-day work.

Mindful that a great vineyard is one of the greatest legacies we can leave to the world, his contribution to improving winegrowing practices in Ribera de Duero has been key.

He knows that nothing is impossible when you work to the highest standards, with true commitment and full dedication.

Nuria Peña Albillo

Oenologist

With a degree in Agricultural Engineering under her belt, Nuria decided to specialise in wine and was one of the first Oenology graduates from the University of Valladolid, starting out in a world that was then predominantly male.

Her extensive professional career as a winemaker, advisor, technical and quality director began in the 1999 harvest and includes wineries in various Denominations of Origin (Toro, Tierra de León, Lanzarote, Ribera del Duero, Cigales, Rueda and other winegrowing regions in the province of Castilla y León). She has also combined her work as a winemaker with lecturing on numerous postgraduate courses.

Nuria carries out her work with exquisite care and the utmost devotion. She can successfully overcome any setbacks by using that mysterious force that many call a vocation.

As a nature-loving oenologist, she knows that all great wines are the upshot of eco-friendly viticulture. A defender of traditional goblet vines and low yields, she sees the winemaker's work as a mere vehicle to convey the identity of the terroir in the wine.

A perfectionist by nature, she knows that every last detail counts when making wine and that to achieve excellence, you need to always listen to what the wine is telling you.

Nuria came on board the Viña Pedrosa ship as technical director in the summer of 2019, with the responsibility and enthusiasm of producing wines with a tradition that reveal the full character and personality of the Pérez Pascuas family vineyard.
